Last Stop for Jaeyaena Beuraheng
(Note: This picture came from here)
When Jaeyaena Beuraheng boarded a bus for the Malaysian border for one of her regular shopping trips in 1982, she had no idea that she wouldn't see her home again for 25 years.
Jaeyaena Beuraheng spoke a local Thai dialect, and when she accidentally took a 700-mile bus trip to Bangkok she discovered that there was no one who could help her find a ride home. To make matters worse her son was called to look at the body of a woman who was hit by a train, and he had confirmed that it was her.
25 years and some dumb luck later she has been returned to her family by some students visiting the homeless shelter where she had been living, considered by most to be mute because they coudn't understand her mumbling.
